My Favorite Birthday Present

This year I got Robotic Arm Edge for my sixth birthday. It was really fun. When I first got the box I felt like I didn't know what it was going to do, or if it was going to bounce up and down like something on the water. I also didn't know if it was going to have legs. Dad said we could put it together later that afternoon.
Here you can see that the kit comes un-put-together and it has about a thousand pieces and they were not like legos. They were just like plastic pieces that we had to cut apart.
The cranks were really easy for a four year old boy to put in. When we put the motor gearboxes together the motor reducing gears hook to the final drive and don't leave the black gear spinning too fast.
Here it is part way finished. The gearboxes are all finished and the arm is hooked on but not the wrist or fingers. We hooked up the circuit board to the battery box. Next we will hook up the wiring.
Me doing the screws on other things like computer stuff is hard. I mostly get the screwdrivers off the screws and put it back because it's kind of hard after a few times of doing it sloopy. But this time I got the screws in.
Here is the inside of the remote. It turns out that there was a lot of screwing on the part that controls it. I thought it was going to ruin it at first. The remote can even work when the light is off, which is the silly part.
When the remote was finished, it looked much like a square. I thought it was going to look like most remotes do with sloopy cuts in the line, but it didn't.
Here is a picture of the robot arm built. I am wearing my hockey shirt that I ordered in the mail not bought from Sam's. It took dad and I about 4 and a half hours to put it together. Also I want to say thank you to Grandma for this present.

I had so much fun building this robot with Abraham. I would recommend the project for anyone who can use a screwdriver and a utility knife.
